The monastery “Nativity of St. Bogoroditsa – Paligoden ”was built during the Second Bulgarian Kingdom, but the Ottomans destroyed it to its foundations during slavery. Gradual restoration began in 1936. The restoration was completed in 1964 and the monastery was consecrated by Metropolitan Pimen.
You can enter the monastery complex, but the church itself is not always unlocked.
